Swedish design, handmade in Portugal
Meet Vasco, Antonio and Joaquim – three brothers that runs a shoe factory in Portugal.
A family business that´s been around for over 50 years. The company was founded by their grandfather, whose vision got him through the most difficult years in the Portuguese footwear industry. The company is now managed by the third generation of the family.
And they all have an invaluable knowledge how to make clogs, boots and shoes. We are really happy to work with such professionals and we feel safe knowing we can provide highest quality clogboots to our customers.
All Calou clogboots are handmade in finest materials in the factory
The leather, used when making all clogstyles, comes from animals that have been bred for meat production and from tanneries that takes responsibility for their environmental impact.
We choose to use leather in our clogs because it has unique qualities for making shoes. It´s strong, flexible, it breathes and your clogs will stretch to the shape of your feet.
It´s also very resistant to wear and tear.
When you buy a pair of Calou clogs, we are here to help you find the correct size, to give you some style advice and to show you how to take care of your clogshoes. All in order to make you happy and to reduce the environmental impact that comes with return shipping. By choosing good materials, production methods and to provide good service, we take responsibility for environment and sustainability.
